The Story of a Hero

After many months of hard work by museum trustees and staff, not to mention the Imagemakers team and the many contractors involved, we are nearing completion of the redisplay of the Oates Collection. This fascinating exhibition tells the remarkable life story of Captain Lawrence Oates, who accompanied Captain Scott on the ill-fated Terra Nova mission to the south pole 100 years ago. Here are some photographs of work in progress. More details to follow, so please watch this...

Tianshui Forest Information Centre and Trail, Gansu, China

We are thrilled to announce that together with our partners ANDA, we have been appointed to design a new Forest Information Centre in China.  The centre willl educate children aged 6-16 years about the importance of forests in the ecosystem.  It is thought to be one of the first environmental education centres in China and a landmark project.  It is situated in Tianshui, a large city in Gansu, a province in North West China. The trucks take you on an authentically bumpy track through the ‘African Experience’, where giraffe, water buffalo, gazelles, zebra (and a huge supporting cast of other beasts) roam freely across an enormous grassy escarpment with sweeping...

The De Witt Kilns project at Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre was officially opened by HRH Prince Michael of Kent a couple of weeks ago. A wonderful site, run by wonderful, passionate people, that is now proud to boast of a new visitor experience in the shape of the restored kiln block and supporting...
