Hop, skip and a jump

How do you explain to kids the threats posed to wild animals by habitat destruction?

The answer, obviously, is to make a playground game of it!

Working closely with the client team at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, we designed a snakes-and-ladders-style game in which kids play the part of animals trying to move along habitat corridors from one fragment of habitat to another.

Local company Premier Signs Ltd turned the vision into reality by painting a 2m x 2m gameboard on the tarmac, and producing an accompanying instructional ‘A board’ with a spinner to direct play.
