Imagemakers appointed for Heritage Sandbox project

We are delighted to have been appointed as one of the commercial partners for the Heritage Sandbox project. Heritage Sandbox, part of REACT, supports six projects exploring new experiences around heritage and is designed to encourage collaborations between arts and humanities researchers and creative economy companies.
We are working with Professor Chris Knüsel and Dr Stephany Leach from the University of Exeter Department of Archaeology on investigating how to better interpret human remains. More specifically we will be using the research by Dr Leach on the mysterious Ivory Bangle Lady, who was discovered in York, with the aim of communicating her story to the visitors of the Yorkshire Museum.
The Heritage Sandbox project promotes new thinking and innovative methodology and we will be spending the next three months exploring ways to bring her story to life. We will be writing a blog on the Watershed website to chart our journey through the project. You can see our blog here: http://www.watershed.co.uk/ished/heritagesandbox/projects/2012/the-ivory-bangle-lady
We will be tweeting away too so be sure to follow us to see how the project turns out. Follow on @imagemakers_uk
