Imagemakers joins the 'Experience Directory'
I recently attended the launch of ‘Experience UK’ at the Tate Modern. Not only did I listen to Nicholas Serota, the Director of the Tate, give an inspiring speech about the global significance of the creative sector in the UK, but I was also able to sign Imagemakers up to a new web directory for UK companies developing visitor experiences in the heritage, cultural and attractions sectors.
The UK is a global leader in the “experience economy” – the creation and operation of visitor attractions such as museums, galleries, science centres, heritage sites, zoos and aquaria, and theme parks. It is home to many world-class visitor attractions whose success is built on imagination, ingenuity and expertise. It is these skills which UK companies like Imagemakers are keen to offer attraction developers all around the world.
Experience UK is the brainchild of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) – the government organisation that helps UK-based companies succeed in an increasingly global economy.
As regular readers of our blogs will know, we’re currently developing close creative ties with heritage attractions in China. We very much hope that our inclusion in the Experience UK online directory will help secure exciting projects in other parts of the world. Check out our entry for yourselves at www.experienceuk.org.
