Richard III Visitor Centre
On 22nd August 1485 King Richard III was killed at the Battle of Bosworth, the last English king to die in battle. Richard was
buried in Greyfriars Priory in Leicester, and the church was later demolished.

His body was then lost for the next 500 years, until it was discovered by archaeologists in 2012, causing an international sensation.
Imagemakers was appointed Creative Director for the new King Richard III Visitor Centre in Leicester. This landmark visitor centre, which opened in July 2014, tells the extraordinary story of Richard’s life and death and of the discovery of his long-lost remains.
As part of the client team, our brief was to oversee the entire creative process, including brand design, interpretive planning, exhibition design, business planning and operational development – with the goal of delivering the best possible experience for visitors.
