Severn Vallery Railway Engine House
Client: Severn Valley Railway
Content: The Engine House is a new museum and education centre that showcases and interprets SVR’s stunning collection of full size steam engines. Displays include an area where visitors can take on the role of an engine driver at the footplate and interactives on how steam engines are operated. A workshop set-piece with audio-visual explores the intricacies of restoring the engines. In another area sits ‘The Coopers Arms’, which is a recreation of the 1965 scene where local people took the momentous decision to save the railway from closure.
