When a plan comes together ….

As project managers we have to be ready to adapt our project programmes at any time – as situations and priorities change – it’s part of the job.  How nice it has been to work on a project that required little adjustment from start to finish.

The De Witt Kilns project at Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre was officially opened by HRH Prince Michael of Kent a couple of weeks ago. A wonderful site, run by wonderful, passionate people, that is now proud to boast of a new visitor experience in the shape of the restored kiln block and supporting exhibition.

I relished visiting the site and working closely with the project team that consisted of volunteers and curatorial and education staff. A cliché, I know, but this was a real team effort – and one we’re all proud to have been a part of. This includes the client team, the entire Imagemakers team and RS Displays who have manufactured some beautifully crafted exhibits.

Stand out days were those that we spent copywriting together. Despite the serious subjects we cover and the amount of money our clients spend on projects, the journey should be fun and rewarding. This one certainly was.
